Wild Mustangs of Colorado- From Range to Home In-Person
This engaging public talk explores the journey of Colorado’s wild mustangs—from their lives on the open range to their successful adoption into homes and working roles across the West. Hosted by volunteers from Friends of the Mustangs and the Piceance-East Douglas HMA, the presentation weaves together storytelling, visuals, and practical insights to inspire conservation, educate the community, and highlight real ways to get involved through volunteering and adoption. Those interested in adopting a mustang will also receive essential information about Bureau of Land Management (BLM) adoption requirements and learn how to prepare to welcome a mustang into their care and community.
