Censorship Community Discussion In-Person
Jamie LaRue, Garfield County Public Library District Executive Director, has dealt with over 1,000 attempts to restrict or eliminate access to library resources. He will provide an overview of national censorship attempts for about 30 minutes, then facilitate community discussion. LaRue is also the author of The New Inquisition: Understanding and Managing Intellectual Freedom Challenges (2007), and On Censorship: A Public Librarian Examines Cancel Culture in the US (2023)
